| I purchased FWO just yesterday and read it cover to cover. After reading it I feel more hopeless than ever! Who knew that men were so weak! I feel that everything has to be about my husband and his ever so fragile ego or he is going to fall apart. Build him up! Compliment him for every little effort! Congratulate him on finding his way around town! Don't treat him like a child, even though he acts like a child! And by the way, nice to know that my husband has his handy little rolodex to keep his brain occupied. Maybe if my husband wasn't so mean these things would seem more acceptable. I am stuck and apparently God is okay with it after many, many years of unanswered prayers. |

This is from a male.....First of all I am sorry that your husband is so mean. Its sounds like you guys need some kind of support so I hope you are in a good church that teaches the bible where members care for one another and that has something or someone to help couples. The companion book is about a woman's needs and desires so the playing field is even. Don't think of men as weak. We are wired in a certain way and so are you. Even things that we think as strong such as aircraft carriers need maintenance and care in vital areas, care that keeps them running at peak efficiency. Having needs does not make a man or a woman weak. That's all I dare say not knowing you and your husband or your situation personally. I'll say a prayer for you guys... |

I agree about the pair of books evening the playing field. We read and discussed them together.
If you are referring to infidelity you might be better off discussing that at a site that was setup for it. Fredstoeker.com is the site of one of the authors of the Every Man's Series of resources. There is a book for women in the series, Every Heart Restored.
